By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Service.

ReceiptStudio is a receipt and invoice management service that allows users to:

  • Upload and store receipts and invoices
  • Extract data from documents using OCR technology
  • Categorize and organize expenses
  • Generate monthly expense reports and packs
  • Share reports with accountants and team members
  • Track mileage and import bank transactions

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload content that is illegal, fraudulent, or violates others' rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use the Service for any purpose other than its intended use
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Upload malware, viruses, or other harmful code

5. Payment Terms

Certain features of the Service may require payment. By subscribing to a paid plan:

  • You agree to pay all applicable fees
  • Fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring subscription fees
  • Refunds are provided in accordance with our refund policy

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

Your Content: You retain ownership of all documents, data, and content you upload to the Service ("Your Content"). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service.

Our Service: The Service, including its design, features, and code, is owned by ReceiptStudio and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.

7. Data Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy in our OCR processing, we do not guarantee that extracted data will be error-free. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying extracted data before relying on it for tax, accounting, or other purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECEIPTSTUDIO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe:

  • Violates these Terms
  • Is harmful to other users, us, or third parties
  • Could expose us to legal liability

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your workspace through the Service settings. Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
